September 9, 2008
1 Week
With the boppy, all dressed up in real clothes (not a sleeper) |
2 weeks old
In the weird little chair we picked up at a sale. Very handy. |
3 weeks old
Demonstrating her day sleeping ability. Rob is holding her, while he sleeps. Why are we not taking to our beds? |
4 weeks old
I cannot resist the Halloween hats. Arabella Kitty Cat may be less enamored. |
5 weeks old |
6 weeks old
(October 21, 2008) |
7 weeks old |
8 weeks! Election Day. Yay Obama!
(I voted early, so I didn't take Arabella to the polls) |
9 weeks old (yay 2 months). She was baptized on her 2 month birthday |
Week 10
Bella is looking for her hands. I expect her to understand soon that they are at the end of her arms every time.
I am also convinced that I spend more time removing red eye from her photos than I spend taking her photos. That may be a clue. |
Week 11 |
Week 12
It may appear from these photos that Arabella's mouth is open at all times. This is not true. She has started opening it when we open our mouths, as a game. I think she will like month 4, when we can start putting a spoon in her mouth. She watches us intensely while we eat.
Week 13
Three Months Old!
December 9, 2008
12 lb 4 oz. |
Week 14 |
Week 15
Arabella had her first taste of rice cereal, heavily diluted in breastmilk. She loves it, she loves the spoon. And she loves her Texas bib! |
Week 16 |
Week 17
Arabella's new high chair.
She is obsessed with rolling over and trying to sit up. When she wakes up from a nap, she pulls herself up into a crunch.
Bella hits 4 months this week! |
Week 18
Jan 13 |
Week 19
Bella rolls over this week! We get a new president! Yay! Arabella watched the inauguration of President Obama. She also gets an ear infection and her first antibiotic. Overall, a week of firsts, good and bad.
Jan 20 |
Week 20
Arabella is feeling better. Still rolling.
Jan 27 |
Week 21
Feb. 3
Still blue eyes :) |
Week 22
Feb. 10
5 months old. Bella wants to sit up. If only she could make the balance work. She weighs 15 lb. She can nurse 5 oz in <10 minutes. She can roll from her back to her front. She tolerates tummy time much more than she did. She sleeps enough. She thinks she should eat whenever she is in her high chair and/or whenever we eat. She had 3 meals plus soggy Cheerios today! |
Week 23
Miranda makes Bella a wagon. She drives to Grafton. Or the dining room. |
Week 24
Starting to balance while sitting.

Week 32
April 21, 2009
Bella figures out it is not torture to be on her tummy. She even sleeps on her tummy sometimes now. |
Week 33
April 29, 2009
In Wisconsin Dells on Tuesday. She enjoyed splashing in the wave pool immensely. |
Week 34
May 5, 2009
Just about ready to call it crawling. She is moving all over the room - by crawl, scoot and roll. Pulling herself up. |
Week 35
May 12, 2009
Crawling!
Bella is more interested in food than drink. Getting milk or formula into her is more challenging. Since nighttime nursing is still going well, I am taking her into the bedroom for day nursing too.
She can pull herself all the way to standing in the crib. |
